The Roc2Loc™ system is a complete security solution providing simple and easy to use security monitoring and access control of temporary & mobile storage and high value equipment.

Unlike traditional security systems that require custom installation and wiring, the Roc2Loc system can be installed in seconds and can be quickly moved from location to location.

Roc2Loc uses standard cellular networks and can be installed in most locations throughout the US and Canada where cellular service is available. (For remote locations, alternative satellite and standard telephone line options are available.)

Roc2Loc is easily expanded from a single job site to a nationwide network with multiple locations.

The Roc2Loc system continuously monitors storage/trailer unit doors and maintains a complete record of who accesses your storage units and when. Roc2Loc provides you with immediate warnings via cell phone, text message (SMS) or email anytime unauthorized personnel open your storage unit.

Roc2Loc provides you with timely reminders if doors are left open, or if the security system has not been activated. It can provide automatic notifications if security checks are not performed at the required intervals. With Roc2Loc personnel can be assigned access to specific storage containers and restricted to select days and times of access. With Roc2Loc, you can access the status of multiple storage locations with a single phone call or via the Internet.

Roc2Loc is comprised of three parts: the Communications Controller, Door Monitors, and Equipment Monitors. The Monitors easily attach to container doors or equipment and wirelessly report status to the Comm. Controller. The Comm. Controller alerts authorized personnel of any breach to the system and provides a complete record of all system events.

Comm Controller

Each job-site is equipped with a Roc2Loc Communications Controller.  The Comm Controller can be plugged into existing electrical service or can be powered from an alternative solar power module for remote sites.

The Comm Controller is connected via a secure wireless network to remote door and equipment sensors.  The wireless network has an extended range of more than 1000 feet.  For large job sites, optional repeater units can be used to extend coverage over larger areas.

The Comm Controller continuously monitors up to 32 door and equipment sensors. The Controller automatically records all events and provides the user with immediate notification of any warnings generated by the system.

Door Monitor

The Door Monitors are powered by rechargeable battery.  For outdoor applications, a solar panel located on the front of the Monitor automatically recharges the unit.

The Door Monitor has an advanced magnetic mount that eliminates the need to permanently attach the Monitor to the door.

The Monitor securely mounts to doors and other metal objects in seconds and can be quickly moved from location-to-location.  Alternative quick mount plates are provided for wood and other non-magnetic materials.

The Door Monitor has embedded sensors that continuously monitor the status of the storage container, including:
• Door status (open/closed)
• Vibration/motion
• Temperature
• Battery Status

The Door Monitor automatically generates a wireless alert to the Comm Controller each time the door is opened or closed, moved, or tampered with.  The Comm Controller then automatically notifies the user or the Central Monitoring service depending on the system configuration.

The Door Monitor also sends routine updates to the Comm Controller on the status of the Monitor including battery level, temperature, communications link quality and more.

The Door Monitor has a small electronic ID reader located on the front of each door unit.  The ID reader provides the user with the ability to arm and disarm the Door Monitor using a small ID FOB.

Equipment Monitor

The Roc2Loc Mobile Equipment Monitor provides automated monitoring for high value-mobile equipment such as tractors, generators, welders, etc.

Like the Door Monitor, the Mobile Equipment Monitor has magnetic mounts that can be attached to equipment in seconds.

The advanced sensors in the Equipment Monitor provide automatic notification to the Comm Controller any time equipment is moved or started.

The Mobile Equipment Monitors can also be equipped with ID readers that track system usage and provide control over employee access.

The Roc2Loc system can automatically track which employee is operating the equipment and for how long.
In addition, the system can be used to ensure that only authorized personnel are operating equipment.
The Roc2Loc system can also be used to limit the hours of operation of specific equipment.

The system is controlled as easily as a car remote by using a personal ID FOB. When the FOB is touched to the reader on the Roc2Loc Unit, a tone will sound to indicate the status.

Each employee is issued an ID FOB that comfortably fits on a standard key chain or may be carried in the employee’s pocket.

The ID FOB can be programmed to provide access to only selected storage units, or it can be programmed to provide access to multiple storage units spread across several job locations. The ID FOB can also be programmed with restricted days and times when access is authorized.

The same ID FOB that is used to provide access to storage locations can be programmed with a list of equipment and storage locations that each employee has access to.

Unauthorized Entry
An alert is sent if the door is opened by unauthorized personnel or by force.

Controlled Door Open Time
The door is permitted to remain open for a pre-programmed time limit; if this is exceeded an alert is sent.

Communications Link Failure
A system alert is issued, if the Monitor fails to report on its regular schedule.

System Tampering
The Comm Controller will automatically generate a system alert if it detects an attempt to tamper with or removed the Roc2Loc Sensor Unit from the container.

System Status
The embedded sensors in the Monitor continuously measure:
Battery levels
Temperature
Signal strength
Shock & Vibration

When either an Equipment or Door Monitor contacts the Comm Controller with a change in the system security, it will automatically dial a stored “Call List”.  Users can be alerted by e-mail, pager, phone or hand-held device. Upon answering, the user will be prompted to authenticate with a PIN number. If the user does not answer after two attempts, the Comm Controller will continue down the call list until a valid PIN has been entered. The user is notified of the situation and the system will then be reset.
The Roc2Loc system can be configured for two modes of reporting: Central Monitoring and Standalone.

Central Monitoring

In the Central Monitoring configuration, the Comm Controller sends an electronic message to a Central Monitoring System when an alert occurs.  The Central Monitoring System then provides end-user notifications of the alarm event as well as ongoing data on the system status.

The Central Monitoring solution provides enhanced system flexibility and can be programmed for a wide range of user applications and requirements and has been designed for medium to large-scale applications with extended system requirements including:
• Remote access and reporting via the Web and/or telephone
• Integrated monitoring for multiple locations with multiple storage units
• Detailed reports and logs
• Advanced notification system with a mix of voice, email, SMS, and/or pagers
• Notification of police and other emergency services
• Companies with a large number of personnel that have access to the secured areas

Standalone

In the Standalone configuration, the on-site Comm Controller is programmed with a preset list of phone numbers.  In the event of an alert, the Comm Controller utilizes the stored list of phone numbers to provide a verbal message to one or more of the users on the list. The standalone system has been designed for very simple applications where the user has one or two containers they are monitoring.  In this configuration, the system would not provide activity reports or the ability to query the status of the system via the Web or remotely.

The system logs all events, including authorized and unauthorized access, regularly scheduled activities & system alerts, and the Central Monitoring System reports:

User ID
Time of event
Location
Event information

With the Central Monitoring System data can be accessed anywhere in the world through a secure website. The system can be set up with parameters of what specific data or locations each employee has access to.

Audit trails can be viewed of all site configurations including locations, accounts, and associations to devices, including who made the changes and when. The Central Monitoring System provides a complete record; no data is ever actually deleted from the system. The system is capable of searching the log to quickly locate specific information.
